Delete your Night Embers account

You can delete your Night Embers account, and the data that goes with it, at any time. There are two ways.
In the app
- Open Night Embers and sign in.
- On the Home screen, tap the profile icon to open Profile & settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
By email
If you cannot use the app, email support@nightembers.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done. We may ask you to confirm that you own the address.
What is deleted
- Your profile: display name, username, date of birth, email address and scores.
- Your answers to questions and your level choices.
- Invites you sent or received.
- Your connections, including the chat messages, questions and reveals in them. These are removed for the other person too.
What may be kept
- Copies in our routine backups, which are removed as those backups expire, usually within a few weeks.
- A minimal record where we need one, for example an email address that was blocked under the 18+ rule.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
To delete one chat and everything in it, open that chat, tap the menu and choose Remove connection. This removes the chat, questions and answers for both people. For anything else, email support@nightembers.com.
